East St. Louis School District officials débuted the new Clark-Mason Middle School in April 2007 to a warm community welcome. Guarantee Electrical’s Illinois office and GECO Systems worked together to provide electric power and systems for the new school. Guarantee provided power, lighting and fire alarm systems, while GECO Systems installed telephone, data, intercom/clocks, CCTV and CATV throughout the school; audio-visual in the multi-purpose room; and ProSound system in both gyms.
The 145,000-square-foot, two-story building features a mix of 44 traditional classrooms and labs and student common areas, including band and chorus rooms, cafeteria, kitchen, main gym, multi-purpose gym with a stage area and a library. K+S Associates Inc. served as the general contractor and William B. Ittner Inc. provided architectural design.
