As senior vice president of preconstruction and engineering services, David Gralike oversees the company's centralized preconstruction resources, which encompass Central Estimating; Design/Build & Engineering; Business Development and Marketing.
Under David, the group's role is to assure business acquisition in a way that optimizes execution through a focus on collaborative efforts with others to efficiently identify, qualify and attack project opportunities best suited for Guarantee and the success of our customers and industry partners. Assessing and managing risk and staying connected in projects through an array of "constructability" resources available in the department is a key focus of David's.
Prior to his role in preconstruction, Gralike served for two years as vice president of national operations where he was responsible for securing and managing projects outside the Saint Louis metropolitan area, as well as providing oversight for the company's Illinois branch.
A fourth generation electrician, Gralike has been a Guarantee team member for more than 28 years. He started at Guarantee as an apprentice electrician and advanced through the field and operations ranks. In 2007, he joined the firm's Executive Management Team.
Gralike's background gives him a good global view of the processes of electrical construction, design-build or design-assist in electrical, voice data and other communication systems that typically demand enterprise-scale installation. He is adept at identifying cost efficiencies and creating quality improvement/opportunity across a broad spectrum of commercial, institutional and industrial markets.
Gralike is active in several industry related and community organizations. He served as secretary of the Mehlville Fire Protection District and is a former president of the Mehlville School Board.
A National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee graduate, Gralike has completed numerous professional certification programs since beginning his electrical construction career in 1983.
